Citizenship Strategy Session — Document Review, 60-min Call, Written Roadmap

The Citizenship Strategy Session is for people who want to become German and need a lawyer to map the whole path before they apply: which legal basis fits, where the risks are and which documents to gather. It suits professionals with five or more years in Germany and spouses of German citizens.

This in-depth consultation format aims to clarify your path to citizenship. You send your documents first, we speak for up to an hour, and you receive a written Citizenship Roadmap that you can work through on your own or hand to me if you later instruct me to represent you.

What's included

  • Review of your documents before the call (permits, registration history, income and language evidence).
  • A video call with me of up to 60 minutes.
  • The written Citizenship Roadmap, sent after the call.

What you get

The Citizenship Roadmap is a structured document, not a transcript. It contains:

  • Recommended path: the legal basis that fits your situation and goals — your personal strategy, not a standard answer — for example naturalization under § 10 StAG or, for spouses of German citizens, § 9 StAG, with the reasoning in one paragraph.
  • Eligibility checklist: every criterion for that path ticked as met, not met or open, with a one-line comment on each.
  • Document checklist: the full list for your path.
  • Strategy plan: the sequence I recommend, the risks in your file and how to deal with them before you apply, and the alternative if the preferred path closes.
  • Practical guidance: advice from my case experience that applies to your path.
  • Legal steps outline: what to do next, in which order, including the further legal steps if the authority delays or refuses.

If you later have further questions, you can book a consultation.

What this is not

  • No filing: I do not submit the application or any correspondence to the authority in this session.
  • No representation: I do not act toward the Ausländerbehörde, the Staatsangehörigkeitsbehörde, the BVA or a court in this session.
  • No deadline monitoring: you remain responsible for keeping every deadline unless you instruct me separately.

How it works

  • Book and pay. Choose a slot a few days out so I have time to read your file.
  • Upload your documents. You receive a secure upload link with your confirmation. I review everything before we speak.
  • Video call. Up to an hour to walk through the path, the risks and your questions. If we later agree that I should take the matter over, I quote representation separately.
  • Roadmap. You receive the written Citizenship Roadmap after the call.

Price

€495. This is a flat fee: the price you see is the price you pay; there are no hourly charges and no extras.

Questions people ask

I am not sure whether I qualify yet. Is this still the right session? If you are unsure in general terms (time requirement, language requirement, etc.), a consultation is usually the better first step: we talk it through and you leave with an answer. The Strategy Session is the better path for the in-depth questions — for example whether you meet the livelihood requirement and how to get there, how gaps in your residence count, or which legal basis gives you the strongest application.

Does the Roadmap replace the application? No. It tells you which application to make, what to attach and where the risks are. Preparing and filing is either your job or the Full Application Service.

Can you review my completed application instead? That is the Application Check: you send me the prepared application and attachments, I review them, and we go through the gaps on a call.
