Application Check — Your Prepared Application Reviewed Before You File
The Application Check is for people who have prepared their own naturalization, permanent residence or residence permit application and want a lawyer to review it before they file. It suits you if you are organized, have gathered the documents, and want to know what is missing, wrong or likely to trigger a query from the caseworker.
You send me the completed form and the attachments in advance, up to about 40 pages. I review them before we speak. We then go through the findings on a call of up to 60 minutes, and you receive a ticked Gap Checklist afterwards.
What's included
- Review of your completed application form and attachments (up to about 40 pages) before the call.
- A video call with me of up to 60 minutes going through what is missing, wrong or likely to trigger a query.
- The written Gap Checklist, sent after the call.
What you get
The Gap Checklist is a template for your application type, completed from my review and our call:
- Every required document ticked as present, missing or needs replacing (for example an outdated or uncertified copy).
- Form answers flagged where they are incomplete, inconsistent with your documents, or likely to prompt a question from the caseworker.
- Up to three custom lines for issues specific to your file.
- A short closing note with the strategy plan and legal steps outline: the order in which to fix the gaps, when the application is ready to submit, and the next legal steps if the review shows a bigger problem.
What this is not
- No filing: you submit the application yourself.
- No representation: I do not correspond with the authority in this session.
- No deadline monitoring.
- Not preparing the application: I review what you have prepared. If you would rather have the application prepared and filed by me, that is the Full Application Service.
- Not a path analysis: if you are unsure which application to make at all, book a Citizenship Strategy Session or, for permanent residence, the Permanent Residence Strategy Session first.
How it works
- Book and pay. Choose a slot a few days out, when your application is complete or nearly complete.
- Upload the file. Send the form (paper or PDF export of the online form) and the attachments in the order you intend to submit them, through the secure link.
- Video call. Up to an hour through my findings, top to bottom. If we later agree that I should take the matter over, I quote representation separately.
- Gap Checklist. You receive it after the call.
Price
€495. This is a flat fee: the price you see is the price you pay; there are no hourly charges and no extras.
Questions people ask
Which applications can you check? Naturalization under § 10 StAG, permanent residence (including § 18c for Blue Card holders and § 9), EU Blue Card and other residence permit applications. For anything else, write to me first.
My application is in the online portal. What do I send? A PDF export or screenshots of the completed form, plus the attachments as separate files. The portals in most states let you save the form before submitting.
What if you find a bigger problem than a missing document? I will say so on the call. If the path itself is wrong, I tell you which session would resolve it, or whether the Full Application Service is the better path.
